Optimism, excepting reality

Optimism is a fundamental attitude. It’s not an opinion on reality: its a starting point for dealing with reality. Optimism doesn’t mean your denying reality – it means your seeing the situating in the best way possible. Optimism is finding the “yes” in every situation.

Pessimism

Pessimism is the opposite to optimism, it is the belief that the worst will happen or the outcome or in general is always negative. Pessimism was described s a fallen tree blocking the road so you cant continue the path into the future by Colin Wilson in the early nineteen century from his book ” The rise and fall of the young man” A true pessimist believes that humans can only briefly experience happiness and it wasn’t meant to last forever as life is suppose to be miserable.
Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. Its is a great truth because once we truly see the truth, We transcend it. Once we truly know life is difficult – Once we truly understand and accept it – Then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, The fact that life is difficult no longer matters. – Philologist  M. Scott Peck 1978
Philosophy and life teaches us that the meaning of life lies in our responses to challenges. Our lessons are essential to our existence and our developing and growing as human beings.  Buddhists believe – Optimism is the most promising and fulfilling strategy.  its accecting reality and then doing something about it.

Resilience

Sustainability means keepings things intact, its about avoiding damage and avoiding change. Resilience is the ability to recover from difficulties. Its about on going change. The world is in constant change, which is why sustainability is not helpful. “We can only frustrate ourselves by not accepting the changes we cannot escape.” This frustration is at the roots of pessimism. The bad days will come, but the point is they will go! optimism is the potential for change. Optimism, persistence and resilience go hand i hand. Optimism isn’t always fun and easy.
