After my crit for the sculpture Brief one thing I thing that that I needed to back back and look at was what my sculpture would look like in a gallery space and think about the use of scale and lighting. Looking back I think this is an important thing to consider with sculpture are there are many ways to present your work using plinths or hanging it on the wall.

I thought about my piece and decided I think my sculpture would look better hung on a large open wall. I think it being hung on the wall tricks the eye a little as it doesn’t look balanced and you may wonder how it’s standing which I really liked. I thought a lot about scale and wanted the piece to be very large. I placed around with stock images to see what my sculpture would look like in different gallery spaces . The picture below isn’t the most interesting however I just wanted to show the scale of the piece and how it would fill up most of the wall space.

Thinking about the gallery space I would have all white walls and use LED light on the sculpture to create shadows of the sculpture around the walls which I think would make the piece really interesting and would play with the eye a little .

One thing I would change about my sculpture was that I was I had made my of the memories. I wanted to try and show that if I had more time I would make lots making them lives very busy. I tried to layer up my sculpture on top of images and using the transparency tool so they look likeone.
